New Statement Gemstone Necklaces, Fresh From the Studio 💎
Share
It's been a busy week in the studio, and I've been working on something a little different!
I've had some gorgeous gemstones waiting to be made into jewellery for a while now, and this week I finally got around to turning them into a collection of new statement gemstone necklaces.
I absolutely love working with gemstones, especially ones with unusual colours, patterns and natural details. I find it amazing how nature creates such beautiful stones, and one of my favourite things about working with them is that no two are ever quite the same.
For these necklaces, I've chosen a lovely mix of gemstones, including Garden Moss Agate, Rose Quartz, Owyhee Picture Jasper and Petrified Palm Wood. Each one has its own colours and patterns, making every necklace completely unique.
Handmade with Recycled Sterling Silver
Each necklace has been handmade by me in my little home studio in North Somerset, using recycled sterling silver.
I've kept the silver settings fairly simple because I really wanted the gemstones to be the main focus. Every setting has been individually made to fit its stone, which means each necklace is slightly different.
I love this part of the making process, seeing how the silver and gemstone come together to create the finished piece.
From the Workbench to the Website
After spending time making the necklaces, today has been all about getting them finished, photographed and listed on my website.
I always forget just how long photographing, editing and writing descriptions takes! There's so much more to running a jewellery business than actually making the jewellery, but it's always a lovely feeling when everything is finally finished and ready to share.
I'm really pleased with how these necklaces have turned out. They're a little different from some of my usual designs, but that's one of the things I love about making jewellery. Being able to experiment, try new ideas and make whatever inspires me.
These necklaces are all about letting the natural beauty of the gemstones stand out, and I hope you love them as much as I've enjoyed making them.
If you'd like to take a closer look, you can find the new statement gemstone necklaces over on my website.
Thank you as always for supporting my small handmade jewellery business!
