The Making of Silver Green and Blue Surfite Cufflinks
Share
These cufflinks begin with a material you might not expect, Surfite. Surfite is created from layers of resin used in surfboard production, where colours build up over time. The result is a unique material full of vibrant swirls and stripes.
The Making Process
Each pair of Silver Green and Blue Surfite cufflinks goes through several steps:
- Selecting the Surfite – I choose a section with striking blue and green tones.
- Creating the silver setting – Sterling silver is worked by hand, soldered, and polished to frame the Surfite securely.
- Adding the backs – The cufflink fittings are attached so they’re practical as well as stylish.
Why They’re Unique
- Every piece of Surfite is different, so no two pairs are ever the same.
- They combine recycled materials with traditional silversmithing.
- They carry a story of the sea, surfboards, and sustainable design.
You’ll find these cufflinks in both the Surfite collection and the cufflinks collection, alongside other original, handmade designs.
