When jewellery ideas come to you in a dream!

Isn’t it funny how creativity works sometimes?
This week, two of my new jewellery designs actually came to me in a dream! I woke up that morning with the ideas for an Amazonite ring and a little silver pebble necklace in my head, and I knew I had to get into the studio and make them.
The first piece I made was a wide recycled sterling silver ring with a patterned band and a beautiful oval Amazonite stone. I used my rolling mill to add the pattern to the silver, something I’ve been really enjoying experimenting with lately.
The second was a recycled sterling silver pebble necklace with a little butterfly stamped onto the front. I love making pebble necklaces and playing around with different stamps and patterns, so it was lovely to turn the idea I’d dreamed about into an actual piece of jewellery.
I’m really pleased with how they both turned out, especially knowing that they started as ideas while I was asleep!
I’ve also added a couple of other new necklaces to my shop this week. There’s a silver honeycomb disc necklace, with the honeycomb texture added using my rolling mill, and a silver rectangle necklace covered in a lovely leaf pattern.
I’ve been having so much fun with my metal stamps and rolling mill recently. I love trying different textures, patterns and shapes and seeing where the ideas take me. Apparently, my brain has decided that sleeping isn’t going to get in the way of coming up with new jewellery ideas either! 😂
All four new pieces are now available in my online shop.
